2012 Miami Hurricanes Football Preview

The Miami Hurricanes first began playing football back in 1926. Since then, there have been numerous winning seasons, conference championships, national titles, and Heisman Trophy winners. Not to mention a swag in the way that the team plays football. The Hurricanes made the move to the ACC from the Big East conference back in 2004. Surprisingly. Miami has yet to win a conference title in the ACC, after winning four-straight Big East championships in the years leading up to joining the ACC. Miami is one of the most successful programs in recent history, winning five national championships and nine conference titles. They also have two Heisman Trophy winners in Vinny Testaverde, and Gino Torretta. The Hurricanes play in Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins of the NFL.

2012 Miami Hurricanes Outlook

The Hurricanes continue to try and regroup after the many violations uncovered entering 2011. And under Al Golden's first season, there were some bright spots. Miami is definitely expected to be much better in his second season. But whether or not they challenge for the Coastal division and the ACC crown remains to be seen. Oddsmakers are giving Miami a legitimate chance at winning the division and perhaps reaching Charlotte.
