2012 Cincinnati Bearcats Football Preview

The Cincinnati Bearcats play in the Big East conference, one of the six current BCS conferences in FBS. The Bearcats made the move from conference USA to join the Big East. Cincinnati football has been around since 1885, so there is certainly a rich and established history, that features 11 conference titles during that time. The program is among the nation's oldest. Cincinnati is still chasing that elusive first national championship. They have a long-standing rivalry with the University of Miami Ohio, which ranks at the 11th oldest in college football. The Bearcats play in Nippert Stadium, which is one of the smaller stadiums in major college football with roughly 35,000. Although their stadium isn't among the nation's biggest, the fans of Bearcat football are certainly passionate supporters of their program.

2012 Cincinnati Bearcats Outlook

Cincinnati had an impressive 2011 campaign, ending the season with 10 victories. If they do that again in 2012, you can bet that they will win the Big East conference and make a BCS Bowl. But those expectations are quite as high, as the Bearcats come in behind Louisville On the preseason order of merit. But by no means will a Big East championship be considered an upset for Cincinnati in 2012.
