2012 Kansas State Wildcats Football Preview

The Kansas State Wildcats are members of the Big 12 conference and right in the middle of Big 12 country, with their football program dating back to 1896. And while Kansas State has certainly enjoyed their fare share of success, the Wildcats have the third-most losses in college football history with 613. Only Indiana and Northwestern have more losses. But the Wildcats have tasted success, winning five conference championships, though no national titles. Kansas State plays at Bill Snyder Family Stadium, which can seat a capacity crowd of 52,200. Kansas State University is located in Manhattan, Kansas. The Wildcats have a number of rivalries in the Big 12, highlighted by in-state school Kansas.

2012 Kansas State Wildcats Outlook

The Kansas State Wildcats had one of their most successful seasons in recent history in 2011, winning 10 games in the Big 12. But coming into the 2012 season, those expectations for the program are a bit lowered, especially with the addition of West Virginia and TCU to the scene. The Big 12 lost Missouri and Texas A&M to the SEC, but the two new additions are on that same level, if not higher. The Wildcats were a surprise last season, and if they have that kind of success again in 2012, it will be another surprise. But the nature of the Big 12 conference says that any team can pull off some upsets.
