2012 Oklahoma Sooners Football Preview

The Oklahoma Sooners have high expectations coming into the 2012 college football season. While they will not be the preseason No.1 team coming into the year like in 2011, you can bet that they will be somewhere in the top-five. There are just a couple of teams in front of them on preseason BCS championship betting lines. With Landry Jones returning for his senior season at the quarterback position, the Sooner offense should continue to excel. Defensively, they could stand to improve, and that is where their weaknesses lie. The high-flying offense in the Big 12 are known for taking advantage of defenses, and the Sooners could be susceptible. But on the whole, it looks like it could be a great year for Bob Stoops and his program, eyeing yet another Big 12 conference championship and perhaps a trip to Miami for a national title shot.
