2012 Michigan Wolverines Football Preview

The Michigan Wolverines football program is one of the most storied and winning programs in history. Michigan competes in the Legends Division of the Big Ten Conference. The Michigan football program in 1879, and was one of the charter members of the Big Ten conference in 1896, though back then it was known as the Western Conference. the University is located in Ann Arbor Michigan, as the Wolverines play in Michigan Stadium, which is the biggest in college football. Michigan Stadium can fit 110,000. The Wolverines have won 42 conference titles, and five national championships. They have also had three Heisman Trophy winners. The Wolverines have a number of rivalries, highlighted by Ohio State, and in-state rival Michigan State. The Michigan Football program is without a doubt one of the best in the country.

2012 Michigan Wolverines Outlook

Michigan comes into this season with lofty expectations, with the goal of a Big Ten conference championship or bust. Whether the Wolverines are ready to contend on the national stage remains to be scene. They proved they can compete with a big Sugar Bowl victory last year. Head coach Brady Hoke preaches defense first, though we can assume that Michigan's season will live and die by the decisions on offense that are going to be made by Denard Robinson. He couldn't do much wrong in 2011, but teams are more familiar with him coming into 2012. One thing's for sure though, and that is that the Wolverines will be a fun team to watch this year.
