2012 Purdue Boilermakers Football Preview

The Purdue Boilermakers Compete in the Leaders Division of the Big Ten conference since the conference split into two division a couple of seasons ago. But Purdue football has been around a lot longer than that, dating back to 1887. Located in West Lafayette, Indiana, Purdue's home stadium is Ross-Ade Stadium, which can seat a capacity crowd of 62,500 fans. In their history, Purdue has won 12 conference championships but does not have a national championship to their credit. In 16 total bowl appearances, the Boilermakers have a record of 9-7. They have not produced a Heisman Trophy winner.

2012 Purdue Boilermakers Outlook

Not much is expected from Purdue this season in terms of challenging for the division or the conference championship. Set well back at 50/1 those odds reflect that. But we will see what happens. The three-game stretch beginning in the first part of October with Michigan, Wisconsin, and Ohio State in three-straight match ups will tell us the state of Purdue football.
