The Buckeyes have won 34 Big Ten conference championships in their history, and seven national championships. The program has also produced seven Heisman Trophy winners, more than any other school in history. The Buckeyes have played in 42 postseason bowl games, with a record of 19-23 through 2011. The Buckeyes main rival is Michigan, who they play at the end of every regular season as per tradition.
2012 Ohio State Buckeyes Outlook
It doesn't get much worse on offense for Ohio State than it did last season. The Buckeyes ranked 115th out of 119 FBS teams in passing, at just 127 yards per game. That will not result in many wins. Insert new head coach Urban Meyer, who was brought in to turn this program around from the black eye that they currently have. There will be no chance for any championships this season, as the Buckeyes must serve out the sanctions from the blowout and cover up of various NCAA violations committed that led to the resignation of Jim Tressel.
