2012 Oregon Ducks Football Preview

The Oregon Ducks compete in the South Division of the Pacific 12 Conference. Oregon football goes back to 1893. Located in Eugene, Oregon, the Ducks play in one of the most recognized and hostile stadiums in the country in Autzen Stadium. It only seats 54,000, but it is still widely considered the loudest place to play in the Pac 12. Oregon has won 10 conference championships in their history, but no national championships. In 25 all time postseason bowl games, Oregon has a 10-15 record. There has never been a Heisman Trophy winner from Oregon. The Ducks play in one of the storied rivalries in college football with in-state school Oregon State. Dubbed the 'Civil War', this is definitely a fun and intense game.

2012 Oregon Ducks Outlook

The Oregon Ducks are definitely going to be a player in the Pac 12 and perhaps even on the national stage this season. They are too good not to be, and Chip Kelly's system is flat out perfect for the conference. Oregon will be a preseason top-five team, and really outside of the USC game, they will probably be favored by a good margin in every other game on the schedule. The offense routinely puts up some of the most points in the country, and this year doesn't look much different.
