2012 Washington State Cougars Football Preview

The Washington State Cougars compete in the North Division of the Pacific 12 conference in college football. Cougar football has been around since 1893, and during that time the program has had their fare share of wins. But Washington State has only had four conference championships and no national titles to their credit. Located in Pullman, Washington, the Cougars play in Martin Stadium, which has a capacity crowd of just over 35,000. Washington State has appeared in 10 bowl games in their history, tabbing a 6-4 record. The Cougars biggest rivalry is the match up with the Washington Huskies, which has been dubbed as the apple cup. There are also rivalry games between Oregon and Oregon State as well.

2012 Washington State Cougars Outlook

Mike Leach once led one of the most dynamic offenses in the nation in Texas Tech. And of course Cougar fans are hoping that it will translate over for them. But 2012 doesn't appear to be the year for Washington State, as they come in the middle of the pack on the list of favorites in the division. They simply aren't up to Oregon's level.
