2012 Washington Huskies Football Preview

The Washington Huskies compete in the North Division in the Pacific 12 Conference. The Huskies football program goes all the way back to 1889. In that time, the Huskies have won 15 conference championships and two national titles, the last of which came in 1991. Located in Seattle, Washington, the Huskies play in Husky Stadium, which can host a capacity crowd of close to 73,000 fans. Washington has never had a Heisman Trophy winner, but have had many great players come through their program. The Huskies have several rivals, highlighted by their annual match up with the Washington State Cougars. In 31 all time postseason bowl games, the Huskies have a 16-14-1 record.

2012 Washington Huskies Outlook

Washington is picked second in the North division of the Pac 12 conference this season, but they are well behind Oregon on the odds to win. The Pac 12 is a very top heavy conference, and by that there are only two teams likely to challenge for the conference this season. Washington might very well finish second, but don't expect them to be breathing down the neck of the Ducks anytime soon.
