2012 Oregon State Beavers Football Preview

The Oregon State Beavers compete in the North Division of the Pac 12 conference. Beaver football has been around since 1893. Located in Corvallis, Oregon, the Beavers play in Reser Stadium. Reser Stadium hosts a crowd of of over 45,000. Oregon State has won five conference championships but no national titles. They have produced one Heisman Trophy winner in Terry Baker. The Beavers have played in 15 postseason bowl games all time, going 10-5. They play in one of the best rivalry games in all of college football. The Civil War is the annual showdown between Oregon State and in-state school Oregon, played at the end of every season for both schools.

2012 Oregon State Beavers Outlook

The Beavers have been overshadowed by in-state rival "Nike University" (Oregon) over the last several seasons, and you can bet that they don't like that. While they wish there was something that they could do about it, a 3-9 record in 2011 says otherwise. Oregon State fans can't expect to compete with Oregon on a consistent basis and 2012 looks to be no exception but you never know what can happen in The Civil War.
