2012 Boston College Eagles Football Preview

The Boston College Eagles compete in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference in college football. The Eagles came over from the Big East along with several other teams back in 2004. The Eagles play in Alumni Stadium, which can hold over 44,000 fans. The Eagles have won the Atlantic Division twice, but their only conference title came in the Big East in 2004. There are no national championships for this program, but they do have one Heisman Trophy winner. That would be Doug Flutie, who won the award back in 1984. There is definitely a rich history and tradition through the Boston College football program. They have been to 22 bowl games in their history, winning 13 of those.

2012 Boston College Eagles Outlook

Boston College won just three conference games and four game overall. Offense was a major problem, as they ranked 112th in the nation in scoring, and 100th in passing offense. That will need to change if Boston College hopes to contend in the Atlantic division.
