2012 Maryland Terrapins Football Preview

The Maryland Terrapins play in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference in college football. The Maryland football program's first season was back in 1892. Since then, there have been 11 conference championships, nine of which are ACC titles, and one national title in 1953. the Terrapins home stadium is Byrd Stadium, which can hold 55,000 people. Located in College Park, Maryland, the Terrapins have several big rivalry games on the schedule each season, including Virginia and North Carolina State. Maryland has been to 24 bowl games in their history, boasting an 11-11-2 record in those appearances.
