2012 Duke Blue Devils Football Preview

The Duke Blue Devils compete in the Atlantic Division in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Traditionally, Duke is first thought to be a basketball school. But football was around long before basketball, first starting in 1895. And in their long standing relationship with the ACC, Duke has won seven conference titles, and have been to eight bowl games. The Blue Devils home stadium is Wallace Wade Stadium, which holds approximately 33,500 fans. The main rival for Duke is North Carolina, as the two school are very close in proximity to each other. Since the ACC expanded in 2004, the Blue Devils have yet to win the division.

2012 Duke Blue Devils Outlook

The Blue Devils haven't played a factor in the ACC championship or the coastal division in quite some time, if ever. That doesn't appear to be changing coming into the 2012 college football season, with the Blue Devils picked last in the conference.
